Rapid-Sorb® distribution pipe systems

Rapid-Sorb® distribution pipe systems from Lavair AG Klimatechnik distribute steam from unpressurized steam generators evenly in HVAC systems. Several steam distribution pipes distribute the steam load and support short absorption distances if the available non-wetting distance in the air duct is limited.

Steam is introduced via a multi-pipe steam dispersion pipe system with distribution pipes at right angles to the flow. Depending on the system layout, the distributor is arranged inside or outside the duct, with horizontal or vertical air flow. Typical areas of application are industrial production halls, laboratory areas, computer centers, pharmaceuticals, food technology and rooms with controlled room air technology.

Compared to standard distribution ducts, Rapid-Sorb® distribution duct systems offer an optimized non-wetting distance and therefore a shorter absorption distance in the air duct. This reduces the risk of duct moisture and uneven moisture distribution at high steam output, which is particularly important for densely occupied air handling units and limited installation space.

Multiple steam distribution pipes distribute the steam load across several pipes and increase operational reliability in demanding load cases. In addition, the available sizes from 254 × 254 mm and the design for horizontal or vertical air flow with distributor inside or outside the duct support simple integration. Optional high-efficiency duct variants reduce unwanted condensation and improve energy efficiency. For planners and purchasers, this results in shorter installation lengths, predictable project costs and robust solutions.

Rapid-Sorb® distribution pipe systems are suitable for humidifiers that supply steam from unpressurized steam generators, in particular GTS® humidifiers, STS® humidifiers and XT humidifiers from DriSteem. Technically, we use a multi-tube steam dispersion tube system, which is available from 254 × 254 mm and can be designed for horizontal or vertical air flow. Several steam distribution pipes distribute the steam load and support short absorption distances with a limited non-wetting distance.

We integrate Rapid-Sorb® distributor pipe systems into air ducts in such a way that steam is reliably mixed in even where installation space is limited. Rapid-Sorb® distributor pipe systems are used from 254 x 254 mm and can be designed for horizontal or vertical air flow. This simplifies duct planning and reduces conversions.

Depending on the system layout, we place the header inside or outside the duct, while the steam distribution pipes are arranged at right angles to the air flow. As a multi-pipe vapor distributor, the system distributes the load over several pipes and improves the non-wetting distance. The Rapid-Sorb dispersion pipe system is modularly expandable and enables precise multiple vapor distribution.

We prefer to combine the Rapid-Sorb® distribution pipe systems from Lavair AG Klimatechnik with Vapor Logic controls. These controls monitor the required steam output and the operating status of the air humidification centrally, so that the system in the air handling unit is managed in a stable and traceable manner.

Rapid-Sorb® distribution pipe systems are thus controlled stably in the air conditioning system and can be operated in a traceable manner. The control system allows set values for humidity to be precisely maintained, conditions to be clearly displayed and faults to be localized more quickly. This means that the steam distribution system remains predictable even during load changes. Purchasers benefit from clear processes for commissioning and servicing, while planners can reliably design steam distribution systems with multiple distribution pipes.
