Vapor Logic® controls for air humidification systems

Controls for air humidification systems from Lavair are based on the powerful Vapor Logic® controller and enable precise, stable and reliable control of modern humidification systems. The controller is specially designed for DriSteem systems in the GTS®, RTS® and STS® series as well as for humidifiers in the XT series and ensures consistently reliable humidity control. The RTS heater rod humidifier is also precisely controlled via the control unit for humidification systems and safely integrated into the system operation.

The latest generation of the DriSteem controller combines robust hardware with clearly structured diagnostics management. The Vapor Logic® controller has LED status indicators that provide immediate status feedback and enable operating anomalies to be quickly localized.

Control unit for humidifiers Vapor-logic®-Controller Version 6

The Vapor Logic® Controller Version 6 is the central control module for modern control systems for air humidification systems and is consistently designed for operational reliability, ease of maintenance and system integration.

Technical features of the control board:

  • Multi-colored status LEDs for quick status analysis:
    • Display of alarm and diagnostic messages that may affect or prevent operation of the device
    • Visualization of the current humidification requirement
    • Status of communication with the operating interface
  • Separate LED for monitoring the power supply to the display
  • Revised hardware architecture to ensure long-term reliability and stable performance
  • Clear visual identification thanks to the characteristic red control board
  • Full backwards compatibility with existing Vapor Logic® controllers versions 4 and 5


This humidifier controller enables seamless integration into existing system concepts and significantly reduces the adaptation effort for modernizations.

Upgrades to the Vapor-Logic control system for air humidification systems

The Vapor Logic® Controller Version 6 from DriSteem is available as a retrofit solution and allows the targeted retrofitting of existing systems. This allows older DriSteem humidifier systems to be functionally upgraded to the current status of a modern controller for humidification systems.

The upgrade kit includes all the necessary components and is available for systems in the GTS®, RTS® and STS® series, provided they are already based on Vapor Logic. This extends the service life of existing humidification systems and improves the control quality at the same time.

Controls for air humidification systems from the Vapor Logic® range offer numerous advantages that make them a powerful solution for controlling humidification systems.

Functional overview of the controls for air humidification systems:

  • System integration and communication
    Support for common building automation protocols such as Modbus®, BACnet® and LonTalk® enables integration into higher-level BMS systems.
  • Network-based operation
    The integrated web interface allows access to all operating parameters and humidifier functions via Ethernet - locally or across locations.
  • Update and data security
    The USB connection enables firmware updates as well as backup and restore functions to ensure system integrity.
  • Control technology
    The implemented PID control ensures continuously stable humidity control with minimal deviations from the setpoint.
  • Time and sequence control
    An integrated real-time clock enables precise logging of operating states (e.g. alarms and messages with time stamp) as well as structured planning of flushing and maintenance cycles.
  • Flexible signal processing
    Programmable inputs and outputs allow application-specific adaptation, e.g. for external release, fault messages or system coupling.
  • Diagnostics and validation
    The extended diagnostic functions include a test output function for checking component operation and a test humidifier function for simulating humidifier requirements and validating system performance.
  • Thermal monitoring
    An additional temperature sensor/transmitter allows the air temperature to be monitored, for example in a duct, and enables temperature equalization to prevent condensation on components or window surfaces.
